Playing and Coaching Experience

• Spent three years playing at the youth level with Dundee United F.C learning under Walter Smith and Jim Mclean
• Spent four years with Celtic F.C under coaches Pat Gardner and Liam Brady (Current head Arsenal youth team coach)
• Had playing spells with Dundee F.C and Brechin City under Jim Duffy (formerly head youth team coach at Chelsea)
• Coached in Scotland with Dundee F.C and Brechin City for over two years
• Director of coaching with San Clemente United for over 3 years
• Extensive background and proven list of players to the Collegiate level

Coaching accomplishments and credentials

• J.V boys coach of San Clemente high school 2008/9 -Undefeated 26 game season, Winners of Capo Valley, South Torrance Tournament and South Coast League.
• Won league and tournament titles at various levels at club in the U.S
• Developed and assisted in placing over 20 players at collegiate level in the past three years (see alumni) including L.M.U, U.C.I, S.M.U, San Fran State
• Holds coaching licences in Scotland and the U.S
• Sent players over to Europe for professional trials
• Has contacts with coaches and scouts with the following professional clubs in the U.K (Celtic, Manchester City, Manchester United, Swansea, Blackburn, Dundee United, Dundee)
• Has connections with Bobby Clarke at Notre Dame University
• Developed captains of Varsity at  San Clemente, Santa Margarita, Laguna Beach, Edison, Tesoro, Je Serra over the past three seasons
• Developed players who hold the goal-scoring records at San Clemente (Andy Martinez 69 goals), Je Serra and also assists at San Clemente
• Developed Roger Downes, who won L.A Times Player of the year and was voted M.V. P for the entire C.I.F, collegiate freshman year of the award 2008 WCC conference.

Academic Achievements

• Has a B.A.C.C degree with distinction from Dundee University in accountancy
• Has a post graduate degree in I.T from Abertay University
• Is professionally qualified in accountancy, management and taxation (A.C.C.A)

Coaching Philosophy

Chris believes in the Coerver method of individual skills combined with the small sided games development model from the S.F.A and Horst Wein which encourages intelligent soccer amongst youth players. Professionalism at all levels with regards standards should always be adhered to.

Personal Details

• Chris father Steve Murray captained Dundee, Aberdeen and Celtic and was a full Scottish international.
• Steve captained Celtic under Jock Stein in the record winning 9 league titles in a row team
• Steve was Dundee United assistant manager and developed such players as Christian Dailly (Dundee United, Derby, Blackburn, West Ham and Rangers) and Duncan Ferguson (Dundee United, Rangers, Everton, Newcastle) both players were transferred for over $25 million dollars over their careers
• Chris’s brother Nicky captained the Scottish youth international team and played at Evansville Indiana University, he also coaches with Dundee F.C
• Chris brother Tony coaches with the Scottish youth national developmental squad on the girls side.
• Chris resides with his wife in San Clemente and has lived there for the past three years
